Professional Insight: Storing pants often means dealing with creases from hangers or stacks that topple over. This Pull-Out Pant Rack eliminates both problems by holding trousers vertically and separated. It mounts directly under a shelf, turning "dead air" into a high-capacity storage zone. To create a completely hidden accessory station, we recommend pairing this with our Under Mount Belt & Tie Rack. Both units tuck away neatly, keeping the visual lines of your closet clean and custom.

Before You Start
This installation is straightforward, but pay attention to the slide release mechanism in Step 1—it's slightly different than standard drawers. Clear a workspace and check your hardware against the list below.
Parts Checklist

- Hardware: Mounting Brackets (2)
- Screws: 1/4" Machine Screws (8), #6 3/4" Wood Screws (4), #6 1/2" Wood Screws (4)
Required Tools
- #2 Phillips Screwdriver
- Pencil (for marking placement)
- Drill (Optional, for pilot holes)
Step-by-Step Walkthrough Installation
Step 1: Separate the Glide
Fully extend the pant rack glides until they stop. Look for the black plastic release levers on the sides of the tracks. Crucial Step: Unlike standard drawers, you need to push one lever UP and the opposite lever DOWN at the same time. While holding them, pull firmly to completely detach the rack from the slide mechanism.
Step 2: Attach Brackets to Slides
Take your mounting brackets and position them face down (flanges pointing out). Align the stationary slide rails onto the brackets. Secure them using the provided 1/4" machine screws. Repeat this for both ends. You are essentially building a frame that will hold the rack under your shelf.
Step 3: Mount to Shelf & Re-Insert
Position the assembled slides against the underside of your chosen shelf. Secure the brackets using the 3/4" screws in the top holes and 1/2" screws in the bottom holes. Once mounted tightly, take the pant rack you removed in Step 1, align it with the tracks, and push it back in. Cycle it in and out a few times to ensure the ball bearings engage smoothly.
Optional: Reverse Loading Direction
If you need the pants to load from the other side (left vs. right), you can reverse the rack. Extend the glide and insert a thin screwdriver through the access hole to hold the nut. Remove the screws connecting the rack to the glide, rotate the rack 180 degrees, and re-attach. This allows full customization for your specific closet layout.
