The Trusted Advisor Tip (The "Slat-Side" Finish):

When you are making your custom cuts, pay attention to where you trim the shelf. I always recommend placing the cut side of the wood slats facing the side wall. The included Shelf End Hardware is designed to hide that raw edge, but keeping the factory-finished side facing the tower gives the entire system a much cleaner look once the Satin Nickel brackets are snapped into place.

One more thing: If your closet has a narrow doorway or a deep header, map out your tower placement first. You may want to offset the tower slightly to one side to ensure the modern drawer handles have full clearance and won't strike the door trim when you're pulling them all the way out.

Q.Why do the shelves have slats?

A.You will need a tape measure, level, screwdriver, and power drill. For precision cuts, we highly recommend a power miter saw with a fine-toothed blade to ensure the wood and metal garment bars have clean, burr-free edges.

Q.How high should I mount the top shelf?

A.The industry standard is 84 inches. This height allows for a "double-hang" setup—where you place a second bar at 48 inches—effectively doubling the amount of clothes you can hang in the same space. The industry standard for long hang is 72 inches.

Q.What are the exact dimensions of the tower?

A.The tower measures 72.7" high and 26.25" wide on the outside. The interior space is exactly 24 inches wide, which is our standard fit for all modular drawers and adjustable shelving.

Q.How does "cut-to-fit" help with my specific closet?

A.Most walls aren't perfectly straight. A cut-to-fit system lets you trim the shelving to your actual wall measurements on-site, giving you a custom, gap-free look that pre-boxed kits just can't match.

Q.How much weight can this system really hold?

A.When you anchor it into your wall studs, the system is rated to support up to 1,200 lbs. This high capacity comes from combining the natural strength of solid wood with our heavy-duty steel hardware.

Q.How far below the shelf does the garment bar sit?

A.The bar is exactly 2 inches below the shelf. We’ve found this is the perfect distance to let hangers slide on and off easily while keeping a clean, integrated look.

Q.How much room do my hangers need?

A.To ensure your clothes hang naturally without being squished, our metal bars are set 10.25 inches from the back wall. This specific gap is the industry standard to keep hangers from rubbing against the wall or bunching up your clothes.
