Professional Insight: The Valet Rod is often called the "unsung hero" of a custom closet. It acts as a temporary staging area—perfect for planning tomorrow's outfit, steaming a shirt, or packing for a trip. To fully maximize your space, we recommend pairing this with our Belt & Tie Organizer. Both accessories mount to the side of your tower, utilizing "dead space" to keep your small items just as organized as your hanging clothes.

This installation is quick, but precision matters. Locate the template included in your box. It is the cheat sheet for getting the perfect placement on your tower. Check your hardware against the list below.

  • 3: Metal Cover Plate (1)
  • 4: Rod Face Plate (1)

Step-by-Step Walkthrough Installation

Step 1: Marking & Mounting the Slide

Take the provided bracket template and hold it against the side of your vertical tower rail at your desired height. Expert's Note: We usually place these at eye level or just above a shelf for easy access. Mark the screw locations with a pencil. Align the metal Slide with your marks and secure it tightly using the 3/4" wood screws. Repeat this process if you are installing valet rods on both sides.

Step 2: Rod Installation & Finishing

Now for the assembly. Take the actual Valet Rod and insert it through the Face Plate—make sure the flat side of the plate is facing outward. Secure the rod to the end of the slide mechanism using the small 1/2" machine screw. Finally, snap the Cover Plate over the slide to hide the screws, and push the Face Plate into the end of the cover for a seamless, polished look.
