Solid Wood Closet Organizer with 3 Drawers Modern
Solid Wood Closet Organizer with 3 Drawers Modern
Refined Simplicity
After over two decades of solid wood expertise, we’ve seen the damage caused by "builder-grade" wire shelving that sags under weight and eventually fails. I designed this 3-drawer Modern system for the Discerning DIYer who wants to move away from those flimsy metal cages and cheap boards that peel at the edges. You deserve Affordable Elegance without the massive markup a custom franchise would charge for this same look. By using kiln-dried Grade-A Pine, we’re giving you a foundation that actually lasts. Your goal is to buy a system once to save money and time, and this is how you finally get your closet clutter free for good.
The Essentials for Your Space:
Real Wood Construction: You get 100% solid wood with a No-VOC finish. No formaldehyde or toxic smells in your bedroom—just the natural quality of wood.
Modern Storage: Three deep, routed drawers provide a sleek, flat-panel aesthetic that hides your daily items behind real wood and premium Satin Nickel handles.
1,200 lb. Capacity: Engineered for you to support heavy coats and fully packed drawers. Unlike wire, our wall-mounted design handles your heaviest wardrobe items without flinching.
All-Metal Hardware: We don't use plastic failure points. Every rod and bracket is Satin Nickel, and the drawers use soft-close glides for silent operation.
Off the Floor Advantage: By mounting the system to your wall studs, you keep the floor open. It makes cleaning easier and provides quality that does not break the bank.
Where This System Shines (Ideal For):
Reach-In & Master Suites: This setup is engineered to fit seamlessly into any floor plan, allowing you to eliminate bulky dressers and reclaim valuable floor space in your bedroom.
Contemporary Interiors: The clean, linear profile of the Modern routed drawers is an Inspired Design choice that matches high-end minimalist or transitional décor.
Healthy Living Environments: 100% real wood with No VOCs. This is an essential choice if you prioritize clean air and non-toxic materials in your sleeping spaces.
What's Included:
6ft. accessory tower and three 8-inch Modern routed drawers with soft-close glides. You get up to 22ft. of shelf space and 14ft. of hanging space. All Satin Nickel hardware included. Available in Honey Maple, Red Mahogany, or Espresso.
The Wardrobe Audit (Taking Stock):
Before you install a single shelf, I always recommend taking a physical count of your shoes and hanging items; most people realize they have more "short-hang" items like shirts and jackets than long dresses. Since this system is Cut-to-Fit, you can maximize your vertical space by setting up double-hanging sections for your daily wear and reserving just a small portion for long items. This simple inventory ensures that when you finish the project, every shoe and garment has a dedicated home rather than being squeezed into a leftover corner.
Installation & Fit
Achieve a custom-build result in a single afternoon and keep the $1,800 franchise markup in your pocket. This system is DIY-friendly and mounts securely to wall studs for a permanent, wall-mounted finish that maximizes floor space.

FAQs
FAQs
Q.What are the exact dimensions of the tower?
A.The tower measures 72.7" high and 26.25" wide on the outside. The interior space is exactly 24 inches wide, which is our standard fit for all modular drawers and adjustable shelving.
Q.How much room do my hangers need?
A.To ensure your clothes hang naturally without being squished, our metal bars are set 10.25 inches from the back wall. This specific gap is the industry standard to keep hangers from rubbing against the wall or bunching up your clothes.
Q.How far below the shelf does the garment bar sit?
A.The bar is exactly 2 inches below the shelf. We’ve found this is the perfect distance to let hangers slide on and off easily while keeping a clean, integrated look.
Q.How high should I mount the top shelf?
A.A professional standard is 84 inches. This height allows for a "double-hang" setup—where you place a second bar at 48 inches—effectively doubling the amount of clothes you can hang in the same space. A professional standard for long hang is 72 inches.
Q.Should I choose 12-inch or 16-inch depth?
A.12-inch is standard for reach-in closets so clothes don't block the door. 16-inch is the premium choice for walk-ins. We recommend 12 inch depth for all reach-in closets even if your closet depth is 26 inches to allow for use of the top shelf due to the door header. On reach-in closets the tower may need to be offset due to the closet door style.
Q.Can I fit this in a closet wider than 10 feet?
A.Our standard kits cover 10ft, but you can stretch them to 12 feet. At 12ft, you're using the wood at its full length, which leaves the tower with two 24-inch shelves. For anything wider, we suggest adding more shelving.
Q.Do I need to hire a pro to install this?
A.We designed this for the Discerning DIYer. If you’re comfortable with a drill, a level, and a saw, you can get a high-end result. The parts are modular, which takes the guesswork out of the assembly.
Q.What specific tools do I need for a professional-grade finish?
A.You will need a tape measure, level, screwdriver, and power drill. For precision cuts, we highly recommend a power miter saw with a fine-toothed blade to ensure the wood and metal garment bars have clean, burr-free edges.
Q.How does "cut-to-fit" help with my specific closet?
A.Most walls aren't perfectly straight. A cut-to-fit system lets you trim the shelving to your actual wall measurements on-site, giving you a custom, gap-free look that pre-boxed kits just can't match.
Q.What happens if my cut lands between two slats?
A.Our Shelf End Hardware has a wide plate designed to cover "short cuts." For the best look, just face the cut end toward the side wall where the hardware hides the raw edge perfectly.
Q.Does the wood warp over time?
A.Our kiln-drying process removes internal moisture to stabilize the wood. Combined with our multi-layer finish, it creates a barrier that keeps the wood straight and true, even in humid environments.
Q.Is this real wood or a veneer?
A.This is 100% solid kiln-dried Grade A Pine wood. We do not use MDF, particle board, or wood-grain Veneer.
Q.Is the finish safe for my family and clothes?
A.Absolutely. We use water-based, non-toxic stains with zero VOCs. There is no chemical smell or off-gassing after installation.

"I LOVE this closet organizer! I was able to get rid of a huge tall dresser that took up an entire wall of my bedroom. It's high quality, strong, classy looking and the dresser drawers are roomier than they look in the picture."

We recently completely remodelled our his and hers walk-in closets. My wife's closet is much larger than mine and she went with an IKEA system. Unfortunately, the dimensions of my closet would not accommodate IKEA with a way that didn't waste a lot of space, so I went with three John Louis units: the deep deluxe organizer I'm reviewing (with the hanger rods) plus two additional towers (with no hanger rods). the quality of the materials is really good. This is real wood for the most part. The only manufactured wood product is the bottom of the drawer (some sort of pressed board product with a felt covering). Contrast that with the IKEA stuff my wife got, which is all particle board covered with a thin laminate. I really like the quality of the wood and stain. It also goes together relatively easily. The instructions sometimes are a tad bit unclear but you can easily figure things out by going online (or just putting things down for an hour and coming back to it with a fresh perspective). Once you get the hang of things (such as construction and installation of the drawers), things move along quickly. I didn't need anyone's assistance in the installation.
Looks beautiful is my husbands closet. He modified it so it would fit. He is pretty handy, but it took him 3 hours from start to completion. Very well worth it!
We installed a system into the master bedroom closet and it is beautiful! Such an improvement over the old sagging metal bars and shelves. Now Im getting ready to install it in another closet and really looking forward to it. The only problem we had with installation was that the plastic anchor bolts kept breaking when we tried to screw them into the wall. It turns out that we have a layer of plaster over sheet rock on our walls and the plaster is just too hard. We ended up buying some big, heavy duty toggle bolts at the hardware store and they work great. I am a lot more comfortable with something like that then relying on plastic to hold a lot of weight.
