Professional Insight: A visible laundry basket is one of the quickest ways to make a closet feel messy. This Pull-Out Wire Hamper solves that instantly by hiding your laundry behind a clean profile. The removable canvas liner makes transport easy on wash day. Design Tip: While you're optimizing your tower, consider adding a Valet Rod above the hamper to hang clothes as you pull them out of the dryer, or a Side Mount Belt & Tie Rack to keep your accessories organized near your dressing area.

Before You Start

Precision is key for smooth gliding. We've included a template to help you mark the exact screw locations on your tower—don't throw it away! Clear the bottom of your tower and check your hardware against the list below.

Parts Checklist

  • Main Unit: Wire Basket (1), Hamper Bag (1)
  • Mechanism: Glides (2), Basket Clips (4)
  • Tool: Glide Template (1)
  • Screws: #6 3/4" Wood Screws (4)

Required Tools

  • #2 Phillips Screwdriver
  • Pencil (critical for marking with the template)
  • Drill (Optional, for pilot holes)

Step-by-Step Walkthrough Installation

Step 1: Mark Placement with Template

First, place the wire basket inside your tower just to eyeball the height you want. Note which tower grooves it lines up with, then remove the basket. Take the provided glide template and align it between those grooves. Use a pencil to mark the screw location through the center hole of the template. Do this for both the front and back rails on both sides of the tower.

Step 2: Install the Glides

Fully extend the slide mechanism. Locate the black lever and separate the detachable glide (the moving part) from the track. Position the stationary track at your marked locations, ensuring the open end faces outward. Secure it to the tower using the 3/4" screws. Repeat for the opposite side. Expert's Note: Separating the glide makes it much easier to reach the screw holes.

Step 3: Attach Clips & Basket

Re-insert the sliding members into the mounted tracks. Snap the four plastic basket clips into the slots on the glides—push the top down until they lock. Now, fully extend one glide and hook the wire basket onto the clips. Critical Detail: The clips must grip the 2nd horizontal bar of the basket, not the top rim. Extend the other glide and attach the other side. Move the basket in and out a few times to ensure it glides smoothly.

Step 4: The Final Touch

Insert the fabric hamper bag into the wire frame. Fold the edges of the bag over the top horizontal rail of the basket to secure it in place. Your hidden laundry station is now ready for use.
