How to Install Your U Shaped Walk-in Closet Organizer
Steven TinesModels: JLH-WCU, JLH-WCUGD (U-Shaped Configurations)
Professional Insight: These U-Shaped Walk-In Closet Organizers are curated "bundles" comprising multiple individual John Louis Home components (Towers, Shelf Kits, Garment Bar Kits, Drawers, and Doors). Because these systems are modular, the guide below navigates the specific order of operations (Wall A, then Wall C, then Wall B) to create the U-shape structure. You will reference the individual component guides linked in each step for the exact details of how to assemble that specific part.
1. Product: JLH-WCU (Standard U-Shape)
Configuration: Two Side Towers, Open Shelving
Wall A Process
Step 1: Tower Installation
Action: Mark Tower A position on the wall. The typical tower height position is 84in. Follow the installation instructions included in the package and install at the desired tower position.
Step 2: Shelf Installation
Action: Mark Shelf B positions on the wall. Typical shelf height positions are at 84in. for the upper shelf and 48in. for the lower shelf. Follow installation instructions included in the package and install at the desired position.
Step 3: Garment Bar Installation
Action: Attach Garment Bars. Follow installation instructions included in the package and install under shelf positions.

Wall C Process
Step 1: Repeat Tower & Shelf Process

Step 2: Garment Bar Installation
Action: Attach Garment Bars under the newly installed Shelf B positions on Wall C.

Wall B Process
Step 1: Measure & Install Shelf
Expert's Note: The Wall B upper shelf installs into the face of the Wall A and Wall C upper shelves. The length of Shelf C should be determined by measuring the actual distance between the faces of the Wall A and Wall C upper shelves.
Action: Mark Shelf C position on the wall (typically 84in). Review shelf installation instructions on how to perform a corner shelf installation.
Step 2: Garment Bar Installation & Finishing Touches
Action: Attach Garment Bar under the Wall B shelf. If you have excess shelf cuts over 24in, you can create additional adjustable shelves and insert them into the towers at your desired location.

Wall B Process
Step 1: Tower Installation
Expert's Note: The Wall B storage tower installs between the faces of the Wall A and Wall C upper shelves. For the best astehtic look, center it between the shelves. Ensure your Wall B is at least 6ft wide to allow proper spacing around the tower.
Action: Mark Tower A position on the back wall (84in height). Install the tower centered between the two side walls.
Step 2: Adjustable Shelves
Action: Use excess shelf cuts over 24in to create additional adjustable shelves if required. Insert them into the towers at desired locations.
Step 3: Drawer Installation
Action: Assemble tower drawers. Follow installation instructions included in package and install within tower.
Step 4: Door Installation
Action: Assemble tower doors. Follow installation instructions included in package and install onto tower.
